Cat
is my
name

Cat is my name, sometimes I am Pussy,
 I purr and I prowl and I preen.
I sleep most the day, dreaming ‘careers’,
jobs of eating and sleeping, catching a bird,
chasing fast mice and self-licking.
I’m part of great memes, $$$ just follow me
on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
I meow and I scratch, I rub myself on you
to show my affection or great instinct.
I’m said to have many lives,
but I don’t care about that,
just let me sleep unmolested, sun shining.
I’ve been blamed for many deaths,
of natives and others, I don’t understand
all I do. I can live many
years, nowhere near human spans,
I come domesticated, wild, and in different breeds.
I’m flexible, curious, and cute,
so come on over and look,
just don’t be offended if I ignore you!
Now time for my anti-dada moment that I share with all my named friends…

  Stairs is my name Stairs is my name, you’ll climb Up and Down me, I layer up to transport and transform you To the top of whatever, Point A to Point B, less likely to slip like my friend Hill. I’m mostly hard, built full of concrete, sometimes I am wood, sometimes I am cracked, decomposing. I rhyme with chairs, not sure why I wrote this, Heaven awaits when you reach me! André Breton

“The man who cannot visualize a horse galloping on a tomato is an idiot.” A man most associated with surrealism, Breton was also a Dadaist in his early years (whatever a Dadaist really means). The French writer was a champion of a shared Dada/Surrealist method called automatism where creative works are mostly produced spontaneously without constraints, planning, and overly conscious thoughts.
