Hospital is my name Hospital is my name, most people do not want to go inside me, but nearly everyone does, “for better or worse”. Starting at birth, the maternity ward, expelled into sterile white walls. And then accidents, illness, disease, do their work and they all come rushing to me! You then get poked, prodded, and tested to imbibe medicines or get cut up by my friends, Mr and Mrs Surgeon. You sleep in my little rooms, sometimes you get windows, while the machinery of doctors and nurses, technicians and cleaners and numerous others keeps ticking on, 24/7 to keep everyone “alive and well”. But people do die, they enter me to never return, I’ve seen so much emotion that I’m totally indifferent. Young and Old play inside me, I feel sick most of the time, Hospital is my name, Don’t Go Near Me! Photo by Adhy Savala on Unsplash
