Bottle Is My Name

Bottle is  my   name     Bottle is my name, come drink from me deeply,   my vessel of plastic and glass   and sometimes I’m even covered in metal or tin.   I come in all sizes, for you to enjoy, wrap your lips   around my head and breathe in. I don’t mind   a beer, some coke, or some gin   but share me with wine for some bliss.   I’m sometimes filled with warm milk   for babies to drink   and sometimes I’m smashed   when people are too   drunk and have partaken in me,   my insides, my fluids,    my hymn.   For thousands of years   I have been where you drink,   Bottle Is My Name,   I Am Timeless!   (AND Priceless!)   (( of course  I am biased!))       Photo by Sara Groblechner on Unsplash

It doesn’t feel real but how can you feel what you have never? we think we’re so clever… Oh, I just rhymed! Things flashing and changing, mountains with faces and mouths that do speak but now it’s an old friend from school… Metamorphous, transparent, Winning Lotto!! Now I’m having sex, yippee! Nobody Is My Name

Nobody is my name Nobody is my name, bodyless? not really, I’m unthought of, unknown, no one to praise me. But I don’t need it, need nothing, I blend into your crowds like a cow in a herd with no meaning. Some say I am average, but I am nothing or beyond all that crap… “Nobody loves me!” a common refrain but how would they know what I’m feeling? “Nobody cares!” well sometimes that’s true and usually it’s care out of self-interest. But don’t worry about me, I’m nobody, nothing to concern you, I won’t wave my arms, as I don’t have a body. Hospital Is My Name

Hospital is my name Hospital is my name, most people do not want to go inside me, but nearly everyone does, “for better or worse”. Starting at birth, the maternity ward, expelled into sterile white walls. And then accidents, illness, disease, do their work and they all come rushing to me! You then get poked, prodded, and tested to imbibe medicines or get cut up by my friends, Mr and Mrs Surgeon. You sleep in my little rooms, sometimes you get windows, while the machinery of doctors and nurses, technicians and cleaners and numerous others keeps ticking on, 24/7 to keep everyone “alive and well”. But people do die, they enter me to never return, I’ve seen so much emotion that I’m totally indifferent. Young and Old play inside me, I feel sick most of the time, Hospital is my name, Don’t Go Near Me! Photo by Adhy Savala on Unsplash
