Grey Gray Is My Name

Grey Gray is my name Grey Gray is my name, 50 shades you just thought of, “the colour of truth”, according to my friend Andre Gide. People ignore me, preferring my colleagues, Black or White, although when Black and White come together, make love, they find me. They use me to describe weather, boredom and gloom, I show myself through clouds, ash, and smoke, I colour old people’s hair and then they’re described as ‘distinguished’. Many young people are afraid, ignore, or despise me, they can’t understand that I am not clear and are many, I keep away from extremes and know nothing. Although I am everywhere many people can’t, or choose not, to see me Grey Gray is my name, let go, relax, and you might find me… Photo by Jack Rains on Unsplash

Hey Is My Name

Hey is my name Hey is my name, don’t confuse me with Hay , “Hey you over there!” is what they shout at me. I can be rude and uncouth, according to some, but basically I’m just being blunt. I crave your attention or I want you to stop, I am bold and strong but I’m also nice enough to greet many people. “Hey you!” “Yes, I am!” I like to exclaim, “what a nice day to remind me!” “Hey Jude”, The Beatles sang, Loving my sound, my short-sharpened point that starts conversations. I’m used everywhere, I’m a great 3 letter word, Hey is my name, You Won’t Forget Me! Photo by Markus Spiske on Unsplash

Lake Is My Name

Lake is my name Lake is my name, if you’re angry jump in me, swim through my depths, my cool ripples. Float on and move through me with your bodies and boats, stand-up paddle boards, canoes, kayaks. I can be murky but clear hiding fish, yabbies, and various creatures, all are my friends, they help make me. Walk or Run around my great length and width or just sit and stare to admire my beauty, I am the centre of attention in great cities and towns, Lake is my name, Get Naked, Embrace Me! Nothing Is My Name

Nothing is my name Nothing is my name, it’s hard to describe me, it’s easier to say what I’m not. I’m not heard, touched, or seen, but maybe I am, because the material relies on me, needs Nothing. I’m likened to air, to space, to the void, but I am none of these things… things emerge from me to become a thing, some thing, any thing, every thing loves me and is me. So here I am, pretending to be something when I am nothing but that won’t ever stop you from seeking. I am everywhere and nowhere, elusive and vague, Nothing is my name, You Won’t Find Me Photo by Ilnur Kalimullin on Unsplash
